About the Event
For ages 7-14
5 Full day sessions
You child will need to bring snacks and a packed lunch to the event.
Early drop-off at 8am included!
Morning sessions - 8:30-12:30 Robotics
Kids build, code & explore amazing machines! Your child will learn core STEM concepts and start to develop the most in demand tech skills at our fun, hands-on learning labs. Classes are led by an expert, qualified STEM teacher. Our extraordinary enrichment programme goes beyond the national curriculum. In addition to exploring mechanical and electronic engineering , some of the key learning objectives for KS2 and KS3 Maths, Science, Computer Science, Design and Technology are explored. Raymondson Robotics Camp is a fun way to improve exam results in STEM. Over the course of 5 half-day sessions your child will be introduced to mechanics and visual programming using Science Museum approved educational robotics and mechanics kits.
Afternoon sessions - 13:00-17:00 Computer Programming
Over the course of 5 half-day sessions your child will learn what it takes to build their own video game worlds. They will design and build their own games from start to finish by connecting Lego-like code blocks. Kids get to build 2D game worlds, design animated heroes and villains, program game controls and motion, add music, and program game logic. At the end of the week they will be able to show off their own original games and play them with friends and family. No prior programming experience required.
